Merry Maximalist

A bold and joyful Christmas collection where maximalist pattern meets festive cheer

Merry Maximalist began with a Spoonflower challenge and a decision to do something completely different. Bold colours, maximalist patterns, and my beloved birds, this time dressed up for Christmas in teal, hot pink, orange and navy. I doodled freely in my sketchbook, played with patterns within patterns, and gave myself full permission to be joyful and loud with colour in a way that felt completely liberating after months of coastal calm.

The birds were also quietly practical, a chance to develop my bird illustration style ahead of creating my first bird-themed calendar. So this collection is many things at once: a challenge entry, a creative stretch, a festive celebration, and a stepping stone towards something new.

Merry Maximalist comprises repeat patterns, coordinate prints and blender designs across a bold festive palette. The collection works beautifully across fabric, childrenswear, homewares, gift wrap, stationery and seasonal gifting. All designs are supplied as high-resolution vector files and can be resized and recoloured to suit your brand. Get in touch to start the conversation.
